Refresher Lessons

Refresher lessons are for those who have already passed a driving test and hold a full license Perhaps you passed the driving test some time ago and did not drive regularly. A few hours of modern instruction with a patient instructor should improve your driving skills and confidence.

Refresher lessons generally follow a similar structure to ordinary lessons. Discussing what you need to achieve. Driving in busy city traffic, or motorway experience, maybe parking. It is your choice.

The first objective is to become familiar with the car. Cars have changed over the years and if you have not driven for a while then you will find a modern Ford Fiesta very pleasant to drive, but different to your memories of how an older car feels. You will quickly get used to it and enjoy driving again.

Next, work on effective observation. Most difficulties drivers have are caused by a lack of observation. Just looking is not enough. Think about what is happening and what is going to happen. Look around so you know what the other traffic is doing, use the mirrors. Do not forget the side mirrors and blind spots. Very often attention to these points will give the driver so much more confidence. Usually making them a better driver than before.
